Advertising & Publicity
Drives the Club’s public image through creative ad design, press releases, and media outreach. Builds strong relationships with advertisers, media, and the community to promote events and meetings.
Membership
Welcomes new and returning members, guiding them through requirements and benefits. Manages dues, membership cards, and an accurate roster to keep our community connected.

Bar:
Operation of all Club bars, including purchasing/inventory of supplies, service sales at all Clubs, and special events in the Club, at festivities in the Biergarten, throughout the year, including Oktoberfest. All Committee members are volunteers; if you want to be a part of it.
Budget & Finance:
Review proposed expenditures of Club funds except for recurring budget expenditures and advise the Board regarding the financial propriety of the proposed expenditures. review committee's budgets before Board approval. Submits an annual budget for the Board's review, acceptance, modification, and approval. performs audits and reviews of Club and committee records as needed.

Beautification
Keeps our 25+ acres, buildings, and event spaces in top shape year‑round. From skilled trades to gardening, volunteers bring the Club to life — and enjoy coffee, lunch, and camaraderie along the way.
Planning & Development
Shapes the Club’s future by creating long‑term improvement plans, setting priorities, and advising the Board on capital projects.

Kitchen Chair
Operate the Club's kitchen in coordination with the Chef, including purchasing and inventorying supplies, food preparation, service, recruitment and scheduling of volunteers, menu selection, and pricing for all indoor events—all subject to Board approval. The Chair or their designee will coordinate with the Department of Health for all inspections of any and all areas, then submit the report to the Board for review and remediation.

Publishes the Club’s monthly newsletter with news, event recaps, and upcoming activities. Welcomes member submissions by the 25th to keep our community informed and connected.

Birthdays & Anniversaries Celebration
Plans and implements the celebration of birthdays and/or anniversaries of Club members on a scheduled day (every quarter).

The Club chaplain is a clergy, affiliated with a local church and performs services such as invocations at meetings, special events, conduct of annual memorial services, and funeral services for members.

Responsible for routine maintenance of the clubhouse, including equipment and utilities, surpervision of custodial staff, and making recommendations for facility improvements.

Edelweiss Chorus
The Edelweiss Chorus is practicing and upgrades skills in singing and provides periodic concerts for members and entertains at various events.

G.A.L.S.
The G.A.L.S. (German-American Ladies' Society) eet every Wednesday morning at the Club for friendships and crafts, they mainly produce useful and fun items in knitting, crocheting, and beading. The G.A.L.S. also arrange and conduct events for enjoyment, information, knowledge, and fellowship.

Gardenfest
The Club organizes up to four Biergarten Fests between January and April each year. These events take place in our beautiful Biergarten and our Bavarian Garden. We serve German beer, food, and music. Various other festivals celebrating German-American traditions may be held throughout the year.

Hafenkapelle
Hafenkapelle is a costumed fest band sponsored by GASC. In addition to traditional German festival music, the Hafenkapelle plays American big band favorites and other popular music. many members of Hafenkapelle are also members of GASC, but this is not a requirement.

Plans and implements the annual Ms. Oktoberfest pageant under the guidance of the Oktoberfest chair.

Supports the Club's office administratively. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Oktoberfest
The Oktoberfest Chair plans, schedules, and stages all activities and functions required for the Oktoberfest. They also work with vendors, exhibitors, and carnival personnel. Attends to ensure a chairperson is available for each Oktoberfest position and holds meetings to organize the fest.

Entertainment
Oktoberfest bands and other entertainment are contracted and scheduled by the Oktoberfest Entertainment committee. We try to get one or two bands from Germany for each Oktoberfest. Four or more bands from Florida and often out-of-state are also invited to perform. Dance groups and other performers are also contracted and scheduled by the committee bands are contracted at least 10 months in advance. The specific performance schedule is completed and published ahead of each Oktoberfest.

Parliamentarian | Rentals
Parliamentation:
A Parliamentation, who shall have the sole right to determine the validity of any nomination, rule on any question regrding parlimentary procedure, Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws at membership and Board meetings and be a member of the Nominating Committee and Chair of the Bylaws Committee. The foregoing shall be with discussion and advice of the Board.
Rentals:
Manages and handles inquiries of rentals for events on the grounds and facilities.

Schutzenverein
We are the target shooting club with the German American Social Club of Cape Coral. We are continuing the very popular tradition in Germany here in SW Florida. The guns that we use are high-precision air rifles manufactured in Germany. We have a yearly Queen and King shootout ad compete with the Lantana Schutzenverein from the Palm Baech area for the traveling trophy.

The Social Membership Chairperson collects non-member fees and records non-member and sponsor names in the log.

The security Team shall provide a safe and orderly place for all Club members and guests at Club events. Also, protects Club property and other assets. See the Chairman to join security for Beirgarten fests.

Sunshine
Provides for the sunshine function, reports on the passing and illness of any Club member, and provides a list of deceased members to the Beautification Chairperson to update the memorial plaque.

Sportverein
Promoting German sporting events, including but not limited to Bundesliga soccer, Mannschaft soccer, and other sports, that will advance and perpetuate an interest in German sporting culture.
We are proud to be home to "Die Mannschaft Southwest Florida" and the "FC Bayern Fanclub Cape Coral", two prominent soccer fan clubs. Please feel free to contact Karin Schmidt for participation or further information.
Skat:
While primarily a card game, Skat is often considered a sport in several German regions, as it is organized with associations and clubs, and players are often ranked and participate in leagues, mirroring the structures found in sports. We usually play on Thursday evenings at the Edelweiss Bar. New players welcome. Please feel free to contact Gregor Pischke for participation or more information.
