How to become a member
Welcome and thank you for your interest in the German American
Social Club of Cape Coral!
This letter will help you with the information needed in order
to complete the membership application cards and what will
happen after you turn in your application cards.
First, please complete the front and back of the
membership card.
Click here to get a copy of the application card. If
married, both parties need to apply. Please make sure
that you PRINT your name so the name badge you will
receive is spelled correctly. If you prefer another form of your
name (nickname) on the badge, please make sure that this is
clearly noted. Cut off dates for membership applications are
MAR 31st, JUNE 30th, SEPT 30th
and DEC 31st of each year. This means that
membership is granted quarterly (only four times a year).
Sponsors should be members for a minimum of one year. Should
this not be the case, please call the office and they can assist
you.
There is a $50.00 per person application fee which is due and
needs to be collected when the member application card is turned
in to the office. At this time, you will receive a “TEMPORARY
MEMBER” card. The Board of Directors will review all
applications at the subsequent Board Meeting (the second Tuesday
in April, July, October and January). Upon approval, you will
receive a welcome letter in the mail inviting you and your
sponsor to appear at the General Meeting held the first Friday
in May, August, November and February.
The yearly membership dues are required to be paid at this
time. Upon payment, you will then receive your membership card,
badge and GASC By-Laws and Club Roster. The time of year you
join the club reflects the cost of the dues.
JAN - MAR: Will become members in APRIL, owing the full year
dues ($40.00/person)
APR - JUN : Will become members in JULY, owing half year dues
($20.00/person)
JUL - SEPT : Will become members in OCT, owing half year dues
($20.00/person)
OCT - DEC: Will become members in JAN, owing the full year
dues ($40.00/person)
Please remember to present your “TEMPORARY MEMBER” card at any
club function you attend. This entitles you to membership
pricing until your induction.
